Nick Jue, born in 1965, studied Business Administration at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In 1998, he graduated, cum laude, with a Master’s Degree in Marketing Management at the University of Tilburg. In 2002, he completed the General Management Program CEDEP at INSEAD Fontainebleau, France.
He started his career as Sales Manager and Consultant at KPN in 1990. Three years later, he became Head of Marketing for Savings at Postbank and was appointed Head of Relationship Marketing in 1996.
In 1999, Nick Jue joined Nationale Nederlanden as General Manager South East. Between 2002 and 2003, he was Member of the Board of ING Insurance Belgium. He returned to The Netherlands in 2003 as Head of Corporate Communications at ING Group. Two years later, he was appointed General Manager of ING Group Corporate Communications & Affairs. In his role he was responsible for Internal and External Communications, Investor Relations, Branding, Sponsoring and Public Affairs.
In July 2006, Nick was appointed Chairman of the Board of ING Retail Netherlands, where he was responsible for Postbank and RVS. In May 2007, the merger between Postbank and ING Bank was announced. During the following years, Nick headed the successful execution of this integration. In September 2010, he was appointed as CEO of ING Bank Netherlands. On 1 June 2017, Nick was appointed as CEO of ING-DiBa AG and Head of Germany / Austria / Czech Republic.
