Carsten Kengeter has been CEO of Deutsche Börse AG since June 2015 and member of the Executive Board since April 2015.
Since 2013 Carsten Kengeter has been a visiting professor in the department of finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science. From 2008 to 2013 he worked for UBS where he was a member of the Group Executive Board as well as Chairman and CEO of the UBS Investment Bank. He was globally responsible for Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities, Non-Core and Legacy. Prior to this he was Managing Director and Partner at Goldman Sachs from 1997 to 2008. He was Co-Head of the Securities Division Asia (ex Japan) and Co-Head European Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities. Carsten Kengeter started his career in 1992 in the credit derivatives trading at Barclays de Zoete Wedd Ltd. in London.
He is a board member of several international companies and institutions. He is a member of the Board of Directors of b-to-v Partner AG, Chairman of Circuitus Capital LLP, Director of FNZ Group Ltd. and member of the Advisory Board Financial Markets Group, Systemic Risk Centre of the London School of Economics and Political Science as well as a member of the FICC Markets Standards Board located in London.
Carsten Kengeter holds a graduate degree in Business Administration of the University of Reutlingen as well as a BA in Business Administration of the Middlesex University in London and an MSc in Finance and Accounting of the London School of Ecomics and Political Science.
