Program
The ESMT Annual Forum 2010 starts at 4:30 p.m. on June 16 with an opening address by the Chairman of the ESMT Foundation Board of Trustees, Michael Diekmann (Allianz), and keynote addresses by Peter Löscher (Siemens) and Alexander I. Medvedev (Gazprom). On the subsequent Cornerstone Panel “The New Role of the State and European Competitiveness,” speakers include Akbar Al Baker (Qatar Airways), Jean-Louis Beffa (Saint Gobain), Wolfgang Mayrhuber (Deutsche Lufthansa), René Obermann (Deutsche Telekom), and Norbert Röttgen (German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety). An art installation by the audiovisual artist Marina Landia and a reception wraps up the first day of the Annual Forum.
On June 17 an early breakfast with a presentation and Q&A on "Creating a 21st century sustainable enterprise - from what now to what next?" by Girish S. Paranjpe (Wipro), starts the day's program. From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., parallel panels will explore the topics of leading for sustainability, the hopes and realities of a green energy future and ‘doing well with doing good’. Alexander Landia's (Siberian Coal Energy Company) closing remarks will be followed by lunch.
